Round 1: And the main event is finally here. This is an important bout for women's strawweight division. 'Big' John McCarthy is the referee for this one. Waterson takes the center of the cage VanZant flows on the outside and stays light on her feet. Nice jab by Waterson. Waterson pins VanZant against the cage. Waterson hits an head-and-arm thrown, takes down VanZant, and immediately takes her back. Waterson locks a body triangle. We're half way though the fight. Waterson locks a rear-naked choke on VanZant. It looks tight, but VanZant is fighting it. Waterson relentless on her tight squeeze, and BOOM! VanZant goes out and referee John McCarthy stops the bout.
